To further enhance the emergency response capabilities of all teammates and uphold DaVita’s core values and healthcare philosophy, DaVita (Shandong) Kidney Disease Hospital recently organized a specialized first aid training program. Over 120 teammates from the clinical, nursing, technical, and logistics teams across both the Changqing and Tianqiao campuses participated in the training sponsored by the Red Cross Society of China Training Center, with all attendees passing the rigorous assessments. Covering three core modules—First Aid Responder, Trauma Care, and CPR + AED—this initiative marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s emergency response system development.

Professional Empowerment: Building a Comprehensive Emergency Response System

The training adopted a tri-fold methodology combining theoretical instruction, scenario simulation, and practical assessment, guided throughout by certified instructors from the Red Cross. The curriculum focused on three core areas:

First Aid Responder (Basic):Systematic learning of first aid principles, management of common acute conditions, and legal regulations governing medical assistance.

Trauma Care Specialization:Targeted training on hemostasis, bandaging, splinting, and safe transport techniques tailored to the specific needs of kidney patients prone to trauma, fractures, and hemorrhage.

CPR + AED Practical Training:Repeated drills on manikins to master the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) sequence and standardize the operation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

Rigorous Assessment: 120+ Teammates Deliver Outstanding Results

Following the training, all participants underwent standardized assessments administered by the Red Cross Society of China Training Center. The evaluation scenes closely mirrored real-life emergencies, rigorously testing response times and operational precision. Ultimately, leveraging their solid theoretical knowledge and proficient hands-on skills, all 120+ participants passed successfully, delivering a satisfactory outcome.
