Highlight 1: 2023 Shandong Campus Honors Night

On September 10, 2023, the DaVita (Shandong) Kidney Disease Hospital 2023 Honors Night was successfully held at the Sheraton Hotel in Jinan, the "Spring City" of Shandong. The event was attended by special guests including Ms. Georgia, Chief Compliance Officer of DaVita International, Mr. Jeremy, Human Resources Director, Mr. Gerald, China Regional Director, Mr. Yuan Ping, Compliance Advisor, Mr. Zhang Xiaoyi, CEO of DaVita (Shandong) Kidney Disease Hospital, and all team members of the Shandong campus.

DaVita International expressed gratitude to the Shandong team for their outstanding performance and progress in 2022. Particular recognition was given to the team's emphasis on compliance in daily hospital management and operations. Thanks to the collective efforts of all medical staff, the hospital's clinical datasuch as the dialysis adequacy Kt/V valueshas shown significant improvement and now far exceeds the national compliance rate. Finally, appreciation was extended to the team members who dedicated themselves to closed-loop management at the hospital during the pandemic.

Highlight 2: 2023 Kidney Patient Health Night

On October 29, 2023, the DaVita (Shandong) Kidney Disease Hospital 2023 Health Night was successfully held at the Xicheng Quanying Hotel in Jinan, the "Spring City" of Shandong. The event was attended by Mr. Zhang Xiaoyi, CEO of DaVita (Shandong) Kidney Disease Hospital, representatives of the medical team, and over 220 kidney dialysis patients from the Shandong campus.

This year's Health Night focused on the theme of "medical follow-up," highlighting the importance of regular dialysis monitoring. Follow-up care plays a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential risks in patients' dialysis lives, enabling early detection and intervention of complications to ensure effective management.

During the event, Mr. Zhang Xiaoyi, along with Ms. Wang Yanhong, Director of the Medical Department, and Ms. Meng Fei, Chief Nurse of the Nursing Department, shared insights based on the hospitals more than two decades of experience, encompassing over 500,000 dialysis sessions. They emphasized the value of regular follow-ups in improving the quality of life for dialysis patients, helping them reintegrate into social and productive activities.

The evening not only educated patients on proactive health management but also strengthened the bond between the hospital and the community it serves.

Highlight 3: Accelerated Progress in the Renovation of the Third Dialysis Center

In November 2023, the structural construction of the Third Dialysis Center at DaVita (Shandong) Kidney Disease Hospital was fully completed. The interior fitting-out, installation of medical equipment, and setup of the centralized liquid supply system are now being expedited.

With an investment from DaVita, the new dialysis center spans an area of 1,200 square meters and is scheduled to become operational in 2024. Upon completion, the total number of dialysis machines at the Changqing main campus and the Tianqiao branch will reach 165. DaVita (Shandong) Kidney Disease Hospital will then operate three specialized dialysis centers, further enhancing the hospitals professional capabilities.

Highlight 4: Russian Kidney Patient Visits for Travel Dialysis

In mid-December 2023, a kidney patient from Russia, after extensive inquiries, reached out to DaVita's Shandong campus expressing his intention to receive travel dialysis at our hospital during his trip to Shandong. Following standard procedures, all patients are required to provide prior laboratory results, infectious disease screening reports, and dialysis records before treatment. Due to language differences, the coordination was handled by a specialized team with experience in serving international patients, including Director Li from the Medical Department's Operations, Director Miao from the Operations Department, and Director Jing from the Business Department. Through multiple phone calls and email communications, the patient successfully completed the admission process and received travel dialysis.

After the dialysis session, he expressed great satisfaction with the services provided by DaVita Shandong Hospital and extended his gratitude to the medical, nursing, and logistical support teams!

Highlight 5: Over Ten Commendatory Banners A Decisive Recognition of DaVita's Commitment to Kidney Dialysis!

In 2023, DaVita (Shandong) Joint Venture Hospital received more than ten commendatory banners from patients, reflecting their full affirmation of the hospital's dialysis services and quality. Inscriptions such as "Exceptional medical expertise and noble ethics, warm care that touches the heart,""Superb skills, first-class service,""Punctual and enthusiastic service,"and "Compassionate medical ethics, wholehearted dedication"serve as a testament to the efforts of the medical team and all supporting staff working behind the scenes.
